Aston Martin will produce 38 Valiants, a road-legal track version of its Valour sportscar, personally commissioned by Formula 1 driver Fernando Alonso. The car is powered by a 745PS 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 engine and features wheel covers inspired by the 'Muncher' car that raced at the Le Mans 24 Hours event in 1979.
The Valkyrie will compete in the World Endurance Championship starting in 2025. Aston Martin plans to enter the top class for the WEC and IMSA championships, which include the famous 24-hour races at Le Mans and Daytona.
The Aston Martin Valiant is powered by a 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine, tuned to deliver 734 horsepower. This engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, and the car features a rear-wheel drive system. The Valiant is a limited-edition, track-focused version of the Valour sports car, commissioned by Aston Martin's F1 driver, Fernando Alonso.
