The recall covers 71 products made between May 10 and July 29 under the Boar's Head and Old Country brand names, including Virginia ham, beef salami, and bologna. Two people died due to the listeria outbreak linked to Boar's Head deli meat. The outbreak resulted in 34 hospitalizations across 13 states. The company issued a recall for ready-to-eat liverwurst products and some other deli meat products, totaling 7 million additional pounds of product.
