Takuro Mizobe credits his work ethic to his time at Nintendo, where he participated in a one-year Nintendo Game Seminar. During the seminar, he created a Missile Command-like game called The Tentai Show, which utilized the Nintendo DS's dual screens with unique mechanics. This experience taught him the difficulty of creating new things and the importance of avoiding complete originality when possible in game development.
The Sakurajima update for Palworld, set to release on June 27th, will introduce a variety of new content. This includes a new Japanese-inspired island called Sakurajima, additional Pals (some with subspecies), new buildings and crafting stations, a higher level cap, a new raid, an enemy oil rig stronghold, and a PvP arena mode5. The update also promises dedicated servers for Xbox players.
Pocket Pair's CEO, Takuro Mizobe, last heard from Nintendo in January 2024 when they released a statement addressing the plagiarism accusations related to Palworld. Since then, he has not received any further communication from Nintendo or The Pokémon Company.
