Red Lobster has closed several locations across the U.S. after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in Florida. As of now, 99 restaurants in 28 states are listed as closed on the company's website. Some of these locations have had their kitchen equipment auctioned off. However, there are still hundreds of locations open across the country. The company intends to use the bankruptcy proceedings to drive operational improvements, simplify the business through a reduction in locations, and pursue a sale of substantially all of its assets.
